I have so many memories of my grandparents, on both sides. Though the one i probably knew the best was my mother's mother, simply because she lived closer to me and I saw her more often. she was an amazing person, and the story of her life shows her strength. Veronica Lydon, originally Veronica Wallace, grew up on the west coast of ireland. Leaving home at the age of 14 to work in a manor house. The story i really know is later in her life, when she married John Joseph Lydon, my grand father. she had eight children in total including my mother. the first my aunt marion, then geraldine, bernadette, marguerite, my mother, lucy, the only boy my uncle john joseph, veronica, and the baby, eileen. she was an amazing mother to each of them, and an great grandma to me.
